HISTORY

R53 Suspension is a division of R53 Engineering. R53 Engineering was founded in 2008 by Roger Estrada with the sole purpose of delivering high quality engineering solutions. R53 Suspension is strategically based at the heart of the UK motorsport valley in Warwick, the world’s motorsport epicentre.

Motorsport is the core of the company, but since 2015 and after continuous customer demands R53 focused on delivering suspension solutions and dampers.

 

R53 has decades of experience on suspension systems from F1, WRC, Formula E, GT, RallyX to name a few. Our main roots are from the World Rally Championship where Roger and R53’s key employees had great success mainly with Mitsubishi WRC, Tommi Makinen as well as Mercedes F1.

 

Suspension has always been a passion of Roger since University. Rogers’ suspension expertise started at Seat Sport - designing the Seat Cordoba WRC Safari Rally specification and it was consolidated on the World Rally Championship with the Mitsubishi WRC.

Since the start of R53 engineering, shock absorbers have been at the heart of the company. R53’s Suspension expertise are at top level. This is also due to our team of highly skilled and qualified engineers and technicians who collectively have more than 100 years’ experience in motorsport and automotive shock absorbers which include F1, WRC, GT, Sports cars, Dakar...
